Banks across Maine donated $10.2 million to charitable causes in their communities in 2009. According to MACB’s Community Involvement Report released March 9, the Association’s 31 member banks gave $5 million via their foundations and $4.8 million in direct giving. The 7,000 Maine citizens who work for banks across the state were also generous with their time—giving nearly 180,000 hours of their time in volunteer activities. |
