FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE'S SPRING 2012 MEETINGPoliquin

MBA’s Financial Management Committee met April 26 to hear updates on tax topics, FASB lease accounting changes and new allowance for loan loss from representatives of Baker Newman Noyes. Angela Faranda of SNL gave a demonstration of the financial and branch analytics available at SNL’s online data collection site.  Also, State Treasurer Bruce Poliquin discussed the state’s finances, efforts to stem the tide of deficit spending, natural gas and energy costs.  He called banks “the bloodline of the Maine economy.”
