More than 40 CEOs and senior officers met August 18 at the Harraseeket Inn to hear Bert Ely’s (shown in photo) analysis of Dodd-Frank and GSE reform. Also on the morning agenda were two panels focused on Maine’s real estate industry. On the first panel were Mike LePage, broker/owner of RE/MAX Heritage and board member and president of the Maine Association of Realtors, and Linda Gifford of Central Maine Title Company, lobbyist for the Maine Association of Realtors. A panel on commercial real estate featured Drew Sigfridson of CBRE/The Boulos Company and Jim Harnden of Malone Commercial Brokers. During the afternoon, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston presented its member outreach program with a presentation by FHLB president Ed Hjerpe followed by a panel discussion with FHLB treasurer Tim Barrett, chief risk officer George Collins and Paul Peduto of member services. Executive vice president Susan Elliott moderated.
